I was a farmer, a mother and an artist. I worked for a not-for-profit social enterprise to facilitate social inclusion through papermaking. We recycled denim jeans into paper to achieve this. Then life took a detour. And I realised the textile problem is of mammoth proportions, more than what one studio, or one person can solve, but collectively, we can have a meaningful impact. By using what we have for longer, by keeping textiles and fibre in circulation, we can reduce environmental harm. Ever since Paperworks Inc closed, I have also wanted to do something to help other women. I hope that Weebill Online can do both.
